Sorting through old Bakshi sketches and temp. cut-outs for Bakshi collages- 2026

Hi all - so below you will see the e-mail I just sent out regarding the August Bakshi Packs.

Truth is, Im in the studio and have become completely obsessed with how to transfer my experience growing up in the studio - to you guys. And I think I've got it down for the August pack, or something in that direction anyhow. The thing is - that this has voluntarily (happily and ecstatically) created a whole hell of a lot more work for me, because now I'm copying, cutting, scanning, sorting ... for hundreds of little "surprises" that I just HAVE TO get to you. What is wrong with me - Im not sure. But - that said - I'm loving the idea that when you guys open your packs, you'll get a mini-parade of creativity spread out onto the table, the floor, the wall, your car ... whatever the case may be.

Because that's what being in the studio is like.

A charcuterie board of creativity, ideas, mixtures of mediums, sizes, laughs, stories and... well... life in a sort of BAKSHI SOUP.

None of it is perfect. None too smooth and stylish. Not so organized as to know what you are going to expect or plan. Spontaneous inspirations, characters, sharing and insights. The importance - I feel - in growing up BAKSHI - is to step fully into the passion and run with it. Be honest with yourself and your art. Do NOT try to make it something it's not or mash it into a mold it doesn't belong in. So these packs have become my passion, that you get to (hopefully) enjoy and benefit from. They are like their own little Bakshi capsules jetting out across the planet: to inspire, bring a smile, share some Bakshi as some of us have had the good fortune of a lifetime of growing up in.

So that's my journal entry of the day.

Maybe one coffee too much... but it is what it is.

Enjoy your August Packs - whenever they get to you!

Best-V

PS - And I will leave you with this one Bakshi quote that was just brought to my attention by a collector (thank you Marc - and Happy Birthday) looking for his own perfect Bakshi piece that inspires him and his family to bring into their home:

"....what I look for is naturalness, something  that's unpretentious.  So the more I beat up my paintings the more I feel like me....I'm not trying to go anywhere.  But suddenly it says it's finished, leave it alone."  - Ralph Bakshi

Good online writing should guide the reader without controlling every conclusion. This article leaves enough space for personal interpretation while still providing a strong structure. The arguments are clear, but they never feel overly rigid or absolute. The bloger presents the topic with confidence and a welcome sense of openness. Each section contributes something useful to the central discussion. Overall, the article respects both the reader’s intelligence and time.

An unexpected comparison gave this article a distinctive personality. At first, the connection seemed unusual, but the reasoning soon became clear. The author used it effectively to explain a concept that might otherwise feel difficult. I am now curious to get more information and see whether the same pattern appears elsewhere. Creative examples like this make complicated subjects much easier to remember. This was an original and well-executed piece of writing.

Stickman Hook creates a powerful cycle of challenge and reward. Every failed attempt provides immediate feedback, allowing players to understand what went wrong and improve on the next run.

This reminds me that creativity doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful. Just like the unexpected moments in skribbl io games, the surprises are often what make the experience memorable.

Thank you for sharing that "in the studio" feeling with us. I remember how formative it was to be a child in my grandma's sculpting and pottery studio. And thank you for doing that extra work. I look forward to seeing what the August pack holds... - Alec
