Meet Gregger.
No one is entirely sure what Gregger does for a living.
Ask him, and he'll happily explain—for twenty minutes.
By the end of the conversation, you'll somehow find yourself walking away with a pocket-sized potato peeler, a left-handed can opener, three clothespins, and a remarkable little gadget that whistles when your soup is ready.
Gregger is convinced every item has a purpose.
More importantly...
every person does too.
You'll find him wandering from corner to corner, suitcase in hand, introducing the neighborhood to his latest discoveries. Some useful. Some questionable. Some wonderfully unnecessary.
He never minds if you don't buy anything.
He's really just hoping you'll stay long enough to hear the story behind it.
Around lunchtime, Gregger always seems to drift toward the garden square, where Rodge inevitably slides over a few soda crackers and opens another can of tuna. Gregger accepts every time as though he's been invited to the finest restaurant in town.
A few minutes later, someone else wanders by.
Then another.
Before long, nobody remembers who started the conversation.
Gregger wouldn't have it any other way.
Because sometimes...
the greatest thing he has to offer isn't in his suitcase.
It's the reason everyone stopped long enough to gather.
